Your day-to-day tasks will be focused in creating and completing digital transfers of audio (predominantly) and video content to online retail music stores (iTunes, Napster, Amazon, eMusic...and other 80 services) on behalf of CI's clients - the most important of the Independent Music industry. You will be asked to follow internal procedures and refer to the Internal Exporting guide on a daily basis. Tasks and responsibilities: * Managing CI's clients delivery orders (Export Requests) from beginning to end including trouble shooting and post-delivery support * Running customized scripts for the transfer of digital content and responsible for the correct transfer/tracking of all content to digital music services * Troubleshooting of standard technical issues (including but not limited to redelivery of content, failed FTP transfers, emails ) * Relationships with clients and digital music services worldwide Mandatory Skills and Knowledge: * Linux knowledge * Good use of Open Office suite * Good written communication skills and use of email applications and ideally Ticketing systems (ie, RT, TRAC) * Fair understanding of XML * Strong interest in Music, technology and the digital marketplace in particular Beneficial skills * Previous experience in the digital music/media industry * Fair knowledge of computer networks * Bash script knowledge (regular expressions, etc) * Basic knowledge of perl, CSS, HTML, Template Toolkit * Audio and video encoding knowledge * Database working knowledge Please send us you cv at the following email address: jobs AT ci-info.com. or visit our webpage: http://ci-info.com/jobs/#1 Also please note that ONLY SUCCESSFUL applicants will be contacted
