I have an intranet site that requires all users to authenticate before accessing the site. I want to add the ability to have my users use their Facebook login to access the site.
I need someone to build this process in .net. In looking at the Facebook developer tools (under Authentication), these are the major steps:
Create a new [login to view URL] page to:
1. Check to see if the user is logged into Facebook. If the user is not logged into Facebook, prompt them to login to Facebook. See the Facebook developer guide for the dialogs provided by Facebook.
2. If the user is logged in to Facebook, attempt to use the Facebook Id to login to the intranet (I have the stored procedures (SPs) you can call to authenticate to the intranet using the Facebook UserId)
3. If the Facebook Id is found in the intranet, the user is logged and pass control to the main intranet page
4. If the Facebook Id is not found, prompt the user to enter their intranet login/password. If the intranet login/password is valid, store the Facebook Id on the Intranet user record and pass control to the main intranet page.
The UI should be nicely styled with messages/user forms within a box with rounded corners.
The [login to view URL] page will be a link on my main login page.
