Need a solution to scrape from pdf files and input into a web site

Need to have data scraped from pdf files and inputted into a web form. Using macros or automated system. I have been told that java or .net framework with a pdf reader would be the best way to go. As part of the data input/selection process, there will be selection to be made from drop downs. For example, if the name on the form is David Smith, then it will need to select David Smith from the drop down. There is also a calendar selection as well. There are two pdf layouts. We can have the pdfs in two separate folders if that makes it easier, but the system will need to be able to process two different pdf layouts and place the processed files into an output folder. When responding, please indicate briefly what you would do, so that I understand the amount of steps for input. All processes must be automated, able to login and in process batches (processing/running every 30 minutes) as well as configurable from gui (file paths for processed and unprocessed files). **We have a partially completed system, already. It is able to pick the directories for input and output and parses the pdf and displays the output. I have tested and it would appear that it works up to that point. So the project should be a lot less work than if it had to be done from scratch. However, the solution we have may not be the direction you would want to go, so please bid accordingly.
