crowdsourcing and microfinancing site

Project Description:
We need a site that offer the same functionality as kickstarter.org, but we want it on a Wordpress platform. Please take a quick look at the kickstarter site before continuing reading, it will make it easier to understand our needs. It should not be a copy, some functionalities are different and the usage will be localized and adapted. Please make it look better than what it looks like now (see attached file), the colour pallete is good but the design is not clean enough.

The site is about microfinancing projects which users can present on the site.

The site is a platform where companies, interest groups or individuals post video presentations of their product, projects or services and they also need to post how much funds they need to start their project or business. In addition to presenting their project they also need to present the possibilities for visitors to pledge to their project: this means visitors can donate to their project or buy their services or products. The site keeps track of the pledges made relative to the minimum amount needed for the project to succeed. If the needed amount is gathered/pledged than all those who have pledged will get their products/services. If the amount is not reached, those who have pledged get a full refund.

We want a site that can allow any registered user to post a video and description presentation of their project, product or service. The site also has to allow any site visitors to donate for any project or to pay/pledge for the product/service which is presented.
The site has to be able to follow how much money has been pledged in reference to the minimum pledge needed for the project to succeed.

Your job would be to offer this functionality and make sure that the site ixs at least as intuitive as kickstarter.
