I need something different from your normal run of the mill site. I need a designer who has proven that they can design such a site. The website should be elegant, useful, authoritative, and different. Here are a few sites that can be modeled after:

Please don't bother bidding if you can't create something that'll knock it out of the park or otherwise don't think you will win the bid. You can draw inspiration from it as well, but I may change up everything about it through this.
