Design a Logo for New Blog about Digital Marketing

- Prize: $100

- Winner: Diamondhand
Contest Brief
Create a logo designed to fit onto a typical WordPress blog. The blog will hosting articles dealing with digital marketing including SEO, Google AdWords, pay per click advertising in general, landing page design, and other related topics. The name of the blog is Red is Gray. The logo has the idea coming from the Moody Blues song "Knights in White Satin" in which there is an obscuration of a concept, in this case at night time colors become obscured. Red becomes gray and yellow white. We will use the English spelling of the word "grey" spelling that way in the British English, and make a play upon this such that by using the English spelling it creates kind of a word play and both senses of the word comes out. It is like we are "Americanizing" the original British English use of the phrase in the Moody Blue song. We own both domains "redisgray.com" and "redisgrey.com" and the latter will be redirected to the former, with the primary blog site being www.redisgray.com.
We have (at great risk to the death of great logo concepts!!!) included a crude rendition (see attached file).
The winning idea will take into account these foundational concepts:
-The concept from the Moody Blues song where our knowledge of things is not as certain as we thought. When the sun begins to go down our certainty about what is red becomes less certain. Red becomes gray and yellow white.
-So much of marketing deals with people's impressions. The logo must give the impression that we are not always as sure of something as we may think we are.
-Some connection to the blog theme of digital marketing.
The winner must include the logo in various sizes and formats including a transparent PNG for use in the WordPress blog header, and the original source file should any changes be needed. Changes will be awarded to the original author. A future contest may be posted for the creation of a WordPress theme that would help to showcase the blog. The ideal candidate would be able to both create and implement a theme into a blank WordPress site on SiteGround.
Thanks so much.
