Develope a "push-push mechanism" concept as used for SD card slots

Contest Brief

We are looking for a mechanism which behaves excatcly the same way as a SD card slot behaves with a SD card.
The only difference:
Instead of a SD card a cylindric body (Ø60mmx5mm) will be inserted into the slot. (see attached pictures)
There are no modifications (e.g side grooves) possible at the cylindric body.

It is very important that:
1.) the cylinder can be inserted and fixed with one push .
2.) and than to reject it with a second push.

It would be nice if this mechanism can be build out of sheet metal. (It's not a must criteria)

Please give us a idea how such a mechanism could look like. You can just show us the concept with a simple sketch, drawing or 3d model.
