Contest Brief

OBJECTIVE:

The Objective is simple, It is to come up with 1) Name & 1) LOGO (symbol/text/icon) for a social networking APP.

ABOUT THE APP:

1) It is a social networking app which matches people based on the similarities they share, such as interests, place of work/education, location etc.

2) It is NOT a dating app! NEITHER is it a very professional app (like linkedin), it comes in between, and is meant for socialising and making new friends.

3) The app lets users filter their searches based on interests, place of education/work, location etc to find relevant matches.

ABOUT THE LOGO DESIGN:

1) The base colour of the app is blue and the designer should try to maintain this in the logo, unless he has a very good explanation for using another colour.

2) IT could be a symbol like for example snapchat's ghostchilla or tinders 'flame' etc. symbols are most welcome, other ideas are welcome too.

ABOUT THE NAME:

1) the name should NOT Be too LONG! preferably within 5-7 letters, unless its a damn good name.

2) While I understand that it is not easy to get names that are not already been taken on social networking sites, a unique name is appreciated.

3) Names can be fabricated, different spellings can be used, doesn't have to be a word in the dictionary, as long as they are catchy, easy to say or point towards something meaningful.

An attachment ("app screen") of the app is provided, It gives a good idea about what the app is meant for.

name and logo needs to be 2 separate contests cause both require entirely different skills. ideally, first the name is finalized and then the logo.
