Contest Brief

This contest is about finding the right concept/visual appearance of the house that I want to build and to live in. The house should be no more than 450sq/m (total combined for all floors) and to be placed on a 770 sq/m plot of land in an urban area.

My expectations is to find a "WOW" concept that will match my preferences. Before you read the contest instructions, make sure you understand what kind of house design style I like:

My personal preference is to have the feeling as if I live in a penthouse (I prefer 360 views, top floors, rooftop pools, and lots of glass, whole walls of glass both external and internal).

Based on the provided plot of land, design at least 2 detailed exterior views (front and additional one) of an ultra modern / contemporary house as per the below specifics. If you provide more angles, then the better for you.

Even though this contest is for a concept design, nevertheless, please keep the following limitations in mind.

- The house has to be at least 10 Meters high (this is the max possibility for the edge of the roof). Even if the rooftop is horizontal, local law allows you to draw an imaginary line from the edge of the rooftop via a 45 degrees angle, until you reach the tip of the building and thus you are able to build additional space within that imaginary line (Please check attachment "Height Limit.jpg" for a very rough illustration. E.g. if the roof is 150 sq/m you can use approximately 50-60 sq/m on top of the roof if you place it somewhere in the center.
- Master bedroom on top of the roof
- "Infinity Swimming pool" on the rooftop facing the north side (view towards the city)
- The house should be no more than 450 sq/m (can be less)
- Either 2 floors with high ceilings (approx 5 meters) + the rooftop master bedroom /OR/ 2 floors with a bit lower ceilings and put the whole house on pillars.
- Keep 3 meters away from the borders of the neighbouring plots (per local law)
- Lots of glass (prefer to have most of the walls entirely from glass
- Submitted work can really be in any format you feel comfortable with. It can be a hand drawing a 3d design, a graphic design or a sketch. My only requirement is that you make it detailed and pay attention to the above criteria.

House has to be in the north side of the plot of land. The street is on the South side.

I want to thank everyone for the great contest. The submitted entries really exceeded my expectations. The winner was selected as the design which appeals the most my personal preference for exterior design. It was a very tough decision. Most of the designs were amazing.

Hy are you sure you want a pool on the roof i mean , a 7x3 with a 1,78 m depth poll would way about 52Tons .. on the roof , that goes to around 4.3 tons per square meter even with a 50cm concrete slab you would still require special concrete and a lot of reinforcements ...

  That's a very good question. The pool depth does not need to be more than 1.5m, and the area should be no more than 30 sq/m. As far as I know 1 cubic meter of water weighs approx 1 ton, which would mean that the total weight would be around 45 tons if the area is 30 sq/m.
