     Hmm, well not true.
     One won't shy away from rewarding entry that meets the eye.
     Also I don't think, creative person thinks only about reward before creating anything.
     In any contest all but one lose but then one should never participate. So is there a gain for other participants ? Yes, there is.
     It's the participation that matters and one improves his skills only after participation. So each participant gains one thing or other.
