Contest Brief

I am in search of a professional illustrator to create wonderful illustrations for a children's book. In particular, I am looking for a cartoon-style of illustration with approximately 14 illustrations including a cover. The main character will be a friendly Monarch Butterfly that needs to have multiple expressions and backgrounds that are semi realistic backgrounds as the main character travels around the world. This will hopefully serve as the first book in a series so we will need an illustrator that will be willing to continue to create more characters for the series if things go well. As far as color scheme and style, I am open to anything and look forward to hearing the creative ideas from the illustrator. The prize is just for creating the main character (Monarch Butterfly with different expressions), and will lead to a discussion on what we need for the book.
