Contest Brief

We are looking for a skilled graphic designer to build a Full scope corporate identity from scratch including logo, type and master assets for multiple uses such stationery (letterhead, Business card etc.) and for use on future website template.

Bellyfish design brief

Company name: Bellyfish
Who we are : We are a confectionery master brand with sub brands within our portfolio ranging from jellies to candy bars and biscuits marketed to both children and adults alike. All of our product portfolio will be marked with the Masterbrand prominently so that customer is aware that sub brands are all linked under the same family umbrella. Similarities could be made to brands such as Haribo, Damel, Wonka and Maynards.
We envisage the Masterbrand logo and type to be something a bit fun but with a professional sharpness (see mambo attachment). The word “bellyfish” is a play on jellyfish with the word “belly” being incorporated to signify the gluttonous impulse one might have when devouring these tasty snacks, whilst the “jellyfish” could be interpreted as being the tentacles dispatched with the purpose of grabbing more of these desirable delights.

What we require:
Full scope corporate identity from scratch including logo, type and master assets for stationery (letterhead, Business card etc.) and to incorporate onto future website template.
We are open to individual aesthetic interpretation of design path so comments below are just to give a bit of insight into our thought process on how brand identity should feel but feel free to express any individual ideas you might have.

Logo and type- In the attached example logos for Damel and Maynards, both have incorporated a crown onto the logo and I have a similar idea in my head of how something similar could be designed using tentacles and the top of a squid head head for example (see splatoon attachment for initial inspiration). It would be good if the logo itself could be be quite clean so that it can be used separately as a single asset but maybe have some sort of secondary graphical asset which can be removed when just typography is needed.
The color palette of blue/red/white/black we would prefer to have can be seen in examples (see spotify billboard/ jellyfish agency attachments).
Subtle use of the “Ben day process” technique could be used to enhance assets with an example of execution being the red dots in the “dukes” logo.
