EDIT: This contest has not attracted many applications, so I am updating the description to be a little easier on the designers - the back ground does not need to be transparent, it can be a video file/format. Important point though - this video is NOT intended to be watched on it's own - it should have no sound, and it is not an intro or presentation on our company or products - the purpose of the video is to convey a process, and it will be used as a componant on our website - there will be text and other things around it that give the viewer the full storey. Important: The dimensions of this video needs to be more like a banner - wide and short. We intend to use this video in the place of the text below the header text on our website - see website screenshot.

I a looking for a flat animation to tell a story about our product - the story illustrates the customers journey with us from the start through to the end.

Our product is online training for Microsoft Office, and the steps we want to show are:

1) Free Team Assessment - comments: This is a free online service where a manager can test the Microsoft Office skills of their staff

2) See live results online - comments: As staff members complete the assessment, the manager can see the results online, in real time

3) Identify skill gaps - comments: this is an important point - we want to convey that by doing the assessments, you will save money because you only spend money on those that actually need the training

4) Training for those that need it - comments: same as point 3 really.

5) Track training progress - comments: as the staff do the training, the manager can track their progress to help accountability

6) Improved morale and efficiency - comments: this is the end result, should be a positive close

Important Notes:

This animation will be displayed in a website - see screenshot attached - this is the style of the website, so the animation needs to be in keeping with this style - notice the bright colours - I would prefer they are used subtly - keep it mostly white.

Background should be transparent to it merges in with the website - the animation is going to be placed in the top banner (on top of the header image)

For the submission, submit an idea or story board - if you are selected, you are expected to actually create that animation as the deliverable.

This is not a 3D animation

Open to options - could be that the whole storey is visible in steps with subtle animations, or the animation could run through one step at a time - more like a video

Joshua - I am happy with a written concept or even hand-drawn scribles with no animation to reward the project - I can work with the chosen person on the details afterwards.

This needs to fit into our header on the website - see image I uploaded - the size is wide and short - not square - unless it's a small square, centered - but keep in mind the size.

**Background should be transparent to it merges in with the website** Hi CH, there are two kinds of animators. with after effects, maya, 3d etc. we can't deliver background transparent video(its possible but the files size will minimum 1GB. it will not run in your website) and with HTML5 and CSS3 its is possible but its impossible to find someone here.

Hi Matthew, how many seconds are you accepting to see in order to be able to award the contest? i.e. I'm happy to put together about 5-7 seconds so you can see style and effects but will that be enough for you to go on?

I was thinking of something like on the dropbox.com website - although I don't think that style suits our website - it would autoplay - I think 20 seconds max - shorter if possible. We could tell the story with static icons and a small amount of text, but I thought it would be cool too see what we could come up with.
