Contest Brief

Our new startup needs a logo. Below you will find alot of information about us to get you inspired, but you don't need to incorporate all of them ; we want to keep our logo simple and clean. The name of our business is "3DUniversalis" and we are open to the idea that the logo might be with only the 3 characters "3DU". To be determined with the entried we will see.

We will use this logo *MAINLY* for web purpose : website, email, landing pages, online shops, etc.

ABOUT US

Problem
Thousands of designers and artists create models, arts and utility objects and share their final result on the Internet. Often, most of these designers and artists don't have the interest or the skills to commercialize themselves their creations on the web and prefer to spend their time on what they are better to do: create and design. Mainly, this is the case for the domain of the 3D printing models, jewelry models and photography.

For example, someone can create an incredible design of a flower pot that can be 3d printed. The artist will create the item for his/her own use and share his/her creation on sites where others can buy or obtain for free the blueprint abling the production and sharing of ideas, but the artist will very rarely commercialize the final product. On one hand, artists have a need for the commercialization of their creations. On the other hand, there is a
need for customer that would like to purchase the final product, but cannot produce it themselves.

Solution
Our business offers to designers and artists to partner-up with us. We manage every steps of the production and the sale of their creation. We are working on a web application that will allow them to subscribe to the site and upload what they want to sell. After getting the approval by our staff which would have reviewed
the case, our online tools allow us to publish the products on one of our brand, in multiple sale channels (mainly eBay, Amazon and Etsy). Depending on the volume of listings and the expectation of our client, we would have several type of contracts. The most popular of them are based on the fact that we purchase the
right to sell (without any royalty). We agree on a price for all the models and we pay when the sales occur.

Producers from everywhere in the world could subscribe. Once our staff got in touch with them, they would
receive orders dispatched according to the location of the sale and the prices they offer.

    Although you are a 3D company, I don't think you need 3D rendering on your logo since you mentioned that you are only going to use the logo on your website.

    I suggest you tell everyone to just use a plain background, white for instance, so it will be fair for everyone.

    Note that most of the logos are only beautiful when they use 3D rendering.

    Also, please be careful of generic logos, the triangular letters and circular letters are over overused, they are in every single logo contest here.
