Contest Brief

My name is Matt, I am a full time career firefighter and my hobby is woodworking. I am looking for a logo for my woodworking company called Reddog Woodworx.
The name itself actually comes from my pup. She’s a 3.5 yo mini labradoodle and has red, wirey fur! Where ever you see me, you almost always see her. And a lot of my friends and coworkers distinguish me as the guy with the red dog.
Anyways I have an idea of what I am looking for in a logo. This was something I had created on my own but I’m really not that creative when it comes to drawing. I will upload the design I had created however the winning design doesn’t necessarily have to resemble it. I am also looking for a maple leaf to be incorporated into the design to represent my Canadian roots. Half a saw blade or a pair of axes or something wood related would look really cool. I definitely want the word REDDOG to be in the design. But from there, the ideas are endless. I have created all different kinds of projects from barn sliding doors, to fire place mantles, to furniture and even wall art.
