Design a Logo for a Colombian Restaurant.

Contest Brief

I'm looking for someone talented to create a logo for a new Colombian restaurant that I am conceiving.
The name of the restaurant will be "Maria Mulata" which is also the name of a bird found on the north Caribbean coast of Colombia(but doesn't necessarily need to be used in your design).

Colombia is a vibrant, tropical, culturally diverse country and I am looking for a logo that reflects some of these things.
The restaurant is also going to be very ethical and ecological and you might choose to incorporate this in your design as well as maybe the nature of Colombia.
All of these are just my way of helping you to come up with some ideas. You may not want to use any of these things for your design. The most important thing for me is that you use your imagination and come up with something unique and attractive.
I would welcome you to do some research into Colombia(if you don't already know the country) to gain inspiration for your design.

I very much look forward to receiving your entries. I always rate every entry and will also comment on as many as possible to give feedback that might help you to submit more entries. If your entry is very good, I may even award the contest winner early(as I have done in the past). But this is only if I am very impressed.

    Hi,
    I am really looking to increase the quality of the logo designs as I think there is real potential to have a real top-class logo design that incorporates all of the things I've mentioned.
    It's for this reason, I have now increased the available contest prize money to £50 as I believe there is alot of talent out there.

    - Indigenous Colombian
    - Indigena Colombiana
    - Pre-Colombian
    - caña flecha

    I'm hoping this can open up the design ideas a little

    And another element that you may want to incorporate into your logo that is very very typically Colombian is the "Sombrero Vueltiao" Please search for the image on google and you will see it.

    I also want to see more imagination, a logo that shows vibrancy, colours of the Colombian flag, tropical, innovative, sexy, fun. All buzz words that tell the visitor it will be an "experience" before they have entered.
