Contest Brief

I am looking for someone to design a new logo for our half marathon in Colorado. It is called the Labor Day Half Marathon. The race website is www.coloradorunnerevents.com/LaborDay. You can go here to see the current logo.

I prefer a horizontal style logo. I was thinking maybe incorporating the Colorado State Flag somehow, though we do not need to do that. But, I do want it to be Colorado (or at least mountain) themed.
