If your design has been rated 4 stars this means I have requested a re-design from you (based on your original submission).
If your design has been rated 5 stars, well done - this means I will be presenting your design to my client (subject to me searching the web to ensure your design is ORIGINAL!).

UPDATE THURSDAY @ 7pm: Due to the poor quality of some submissions I have decided to let this contest run until tomorrow morning (9:00am GMT).

IMPORTANT: Today I rejected more than 50 designs because they were stolen ideas. Note that I am checking ALL of your designs in the search engines/ Shutterstock/etc to make sure you are not using pre-made logos or stealing other people's ideas/work. If I find any of your submissions to be copies of existing logos (or logos for sale elsewhere) I will reject ALL of your submissions.
I respect copyright and if you class yourself as a 'Designer', you should too. You are breaking the law.

OVERVIEW:
Create a new logo for my client.
Please see the attached Word document which includes all details about the project.

TIMESCALE: I have to submit up to 8 logo concepts to my client by the end of the day; therefore I'll be actively monitoring this contest and short-listing the 8 designs that I like.

At 4:15pm (UK time) on Thursday I will submit those short-listed designs to my client and he will choose the one that he would like to proceed with.
Tomorrow (Friday) morning I will notify the contest winner and give details of any design tweaks that are to be made (if any).

By close of business tomorrow I would like to have the final files from the designer (in various formats - AI, PSD, PNG, JPG, etc).

NOTE: In my head I'm thinking a 'flat' design would be better.

OK, I'm now going to show my client all remaining (5 star) designs.
If your entry is marked as 4 star, it means I wanted to show it to my client but you failed to provide the changes I requested. Please see #261 and you will see how I wanted the designs presented. You may wish to re-submit your entry and if you're quick I may show it to the client. Otherwise I will unfortunately need to reject those designs.

Thank you all for your time. Regardless of the outcome of this contest please know that I really appreciate your time. I know appreciation doesn't put food on the table but unfortunately there can only be one winner and that decision will be made my by client.

  Perhaps a designer didn't copy it on purpose. Since reduced designs are a major design trend, a problem arises: The simpler a logo gets, the greater the likelihood that there already exists is a similar design. But, the client asks for SG monogram - lettermark. There is always danger from accidental similarities.

  Indeed @btdsgn. I understand that with the letters 'GS' there are bound to be some designs which look similar, but when I do a search and find an EXACT copy of an existing logo/ stock image it can't really be coincidence.
  I've been in this industry for almost 13 years and I take Copyright very seriously. Any submissions which I feel have violated Copyright laws has been rejected. Granted I may have missed one or two or some may have been rejected in error, but I'm doing my best to ensure I/my company/my client aren't breaching any Copyright or Trademark laws.
  
  If anyone spots any remaining designs that they feel are copied, you are more than welcome to point it out.
