Hi there, thanks for checking out this contest.

Brief:

We want to design a wall poster using a minimal black and white style but containing just the right amount of detail to identify the image and look really good.

The subject of the poster should be a specific, individual surfing wave called The Peak. It's located in Bundoran, Ireland and it is a well known surfing wave.

The poster should use a minimal, black and white style to draw the wave. As far as possible, it should be possible to identify the unique wave from the drawing, so that much detail is required.

Whether to include some surroundings is your artistic choice. If you do include surroundings such as beach, land, landmarks, headlands etc. then they should closely match the actual surroundings at the location of the wave.

If using a photo to guide your design, please ensure that it is this exact wave: The Peak, Bundoran and not any other wave. This wave breaks in a specific spot in Bundoran and is unique.

They show the clean, modern style of design/fonts we would like to aim for. We need to balance minimalist design and including enough detail to identify the unique wave / location. White space is a key feature of this design style which we would like to include.

The poster should include the text "The Peak, Bundoran, Ireland" in a modern, minimal font (look at circlesquarediamond.com link above for inspiration) and added to the poster in a way that looks clean.

You can optionally include some details like:
Difficulty: Intermediate - Advanced
Average Swell Height: 10ft
Average Period: 11 seconds

if you feel that you can include them in a way which suits/improves the style and look of the poster.

Sizing of actual poster: 30cm x 40cm Vertical Orientation

For context: This is a poster that will be sold to surfers to hang on their wall.
