Contest Brief

Hi we are BTONZ and we are making Wood Buttons for Clothing. For our upcoming Collection we are looking for Designs inspired by the Ocean and Island life. This can be PATTERNS of Shells, Fishes and marine life, Island Life, Tropical Plants, Flowers, waves etc (Macro). Please make sure that the Format is a 2,5 cm Diameter Circle. The Circle will be your canvas. There is no restrictions in Terms of creativity. We see this also as an opportunity for us and Designers to connect for future work Projects. Please Note that the Costumers for our Buttons are Young Adults not Kids. So please be aware that the designs do NOT look to kiddy. We are more looking for unique Artworks rather than ordinary prearranged shapes. A Macro look into the World of Underwater and the Tropical Island as a colorful VECTOR will do the Job. Ink, Lineart & watercolor Artists are also most welcome. Thank you for your Entries!

Please do not just Quick Trace a Picture! If you do, than please work on the vector, straighten and clean lines and include Detail to be as realistic as possible. Since we want to establish a good work Relationship for future work with the winner of this contest!

Thank you for your Comment John Rayan P. It is completly clear what a vector file is to us. It is not a problem of the vector file but the Detail a vector is done with. Also we want to highlight that we are looking for Original Ideas rather than standard Objects and shapes. The shapes should also been seen on a small Button and it doesnt have to include to many things. Think of it more as a look through a macro lense. For Example the unique Pattern of a Fish rather than the Fish itself.

For all the entries, please notice that the designs are not to kiddy. Our targeting costumers are Young adults. We do NOT make Buttons for the Kids sector. More realistic and artistic designs would be appriciated. Thank you!

  Yes you are correct, but if you look closely at my works, this is Vector .. vector is an object of the printing process for straight lines and not blurred, because vector art is visible only if you look at it in pictures like the ones I and other designers here look like cartoon or the texture is childish, though they can only be seen after being printed or done with a button, there you can see it most finish product.
