Design ideas for an electric car charger

Contest Brief

Hi!

I currently have a mental block and I am looking for ideas for a new electric car charger that will be installed on the walls of peoples homes. We are aiming to use a wood facia and minimal plastics (as you know we need to be green!).

I am more interested in the general aesthetics, shape and style of the charger (so i can get a set of new ideas) rather than any of the minimal details.

This will have a cable with a connector, so the cable will have to be stored away ideally behind the facia (no doors or movable parts). There needs to be a place to put the connector nozzle are the end. It will also have a 4 inch screen with 4 buttons on the right hand side of the design.

We also can add an RGB LED light strip to the design but this can also be exchanged with a reflection of the light off the back wall

I am looking for original design ideas, that can provide me with a high quality looking and a description on why the design style was created ( a story of your thoughts!)

I have put some initial ideas on photos here, also please find a link to a Pinterest share. PLEASE NOTE: I am looking for ideas generation, so please think outside the box and these design ideas may not be correct.

    Hi, you have a size limitation, for the model you can share the commercial model of screen or we assume "a 4 inch screen with 4 buttons on the right hand side of the design.
