Contest Brief

We are looking for a talented website designer to design a website for Swiss online boutique with diamond jewellery.

This is a very interesting project, which may lead to many more tasks for the winner of the contest. We always like to work long-term with the best freelancers.

The contest will be sealed and the prize is guaranteed.

Requirements:

1) For the competition, you only need to prepare the landing page to show your design skills.

Like this we can provide you instant feedback and guide you in the right direction.

At the end of the contest, we will contract design of the entire website to the winner and we will pay extra for the additional work according to your rates.

The final website will have 3-4 pages in total:

-Landing page
-Product presentation
-About us / FAQ

2) We have only 3 product categories:

-Engagement Rings with diamonds
-Earrings with diamonds
-Necklaces with diamonds

3) Each category will have approximately 10-12 products.

4) You can use any stock photos/videos/base-themes of your choice. We will buy the copyright if necessary.

5) You can take inspiration from some of our competitors, how high-end jewellery sites are done:

*However please note a difference: these shops sell many more products in different categories. In our shop we will have limited number of products (30 or so) and only 3 categories. All diamond jewellery.

6) The design should encompass the following general characteristics:

-classic & clean
-the identity of the brand is luxury and high Swiss quality
-high quality diamond jewellery
-connection to love & gift giving
-connection to Switzerland/Geneva

7) You can prepare mock-ups in Adobe PhotoShop (.psd) or live mock-ups in HTML5 or Wordpress. It's entirely up to you (there is no penalty or reward for choosing one or another format).

In the end, we plan to convert the winning design to Wordpress (WooCommerce).

8) If you are developing a live mock-up, you may use (if you want) pre-built Wordpress themes as a base. If necessary we will purchase the licenses.

9) We will provide the final logo of the shop only to the winner of the contest. For now please just use the name: "Diamond Jewellery boutique" as a placeholder.

10) We will provide feedback to all contestants and we will respond promptly to any questions.

  Hi! Thank you for your entry. It is a good start, but the design will need some improvements. We need something to make the "WOW" effect. In other words, visitors after opening the site should see that the site represents highest Swiss quality and luxury. The design should be original while remaining classic. At the moment, your design is "correct", but it does not stand out from hundreds of other brands in the jewellery market.
