Contest Brief

I am looking for an image / logo/ feel that i can design company marketing materials around (web site, boxes, written material. brochures, etc).

I did not guarantee the prize because I am looking for something that will be used as the basis for my business marketing and if there is nothing that works, then there truly will not be anyone that wins the prize. On the other hand, if someone comes up with something that i love and can use, there will most likely be more projects for the winner because I am going to need designs for my other marketing materials...

I am just going to list what is in my head for this concept and let you go anywhere you want with it.

-- the name of the company is Tombstone Mattresses

-- I'm looking for sort of a fun / lighthearted image (see attached image - I am not necessarily looking for the same type of image as in the attachment but I do want the artwork to bring out the same feeling that viewing this picture gives you - fun, goofy, etc... NOT Death, dying, scary --- more friendly ghost feeling).

-- This is a mattress company so thinking about certain things that have crossover between tombstone imagery and the mattress business, ex. RIP Rest in Peace (when you're sleeping you want to rest in piece), ex. people will sometimes say they were dead asleep, etc...

- I don't want to put too many constraints on your imagination when you're creating this image but I do like the idea of having a character that can be used across the board in other marketing materials - i definitely want continuity across all the material.

-- Lastly, If you have some other idea that may not be a little different than what i am asking for above, go for it!! I am open to anything and I realize that there may be something out there that's better than what I am thinking but I just haven't seen or thought of it yet!! The only steadfast rule is that I'm not changing the name so it has to have something to do with "Tombstone Mattresses"

I love the way that the designs by Beauty L. looks for letterhead or a sign but there is no feeling behind the illustration - It doesn't say anything to you except for the name... I try to explain what I am looking for in the project description. If it is not clear please ask me questions, as I would really like to get a design that will work.

Most of these all look great. I have given 4 stars to the ideas that are along the ideas that I am looking for. I gave 3 stars to the great straight logo designs, which I also love for more official looking documents... The stuff I didn't rate is good too, I just didn't want to get to confusing with the stars... Thank you all for your ideas so far, I am pretty sure I should be able to find something I like sooner than I thought.
