Hello guys:

We need a logo for our blog “print is cool”.
It’s a blog about very special, creative, impressing and cool print-products. The blog is usually just about pictures of cool print projects from any printer in the world and any print technology.

Your logo proposal should convey the fact that physical, chemical, mechanical forces are at work when it comes to print. Often printer logos talk about color, but color can be done digitally as well, while here we ONLY want to talk about print.

We would like to see some drafts.

The websites should help you to orient yourself.

Thx to everyone for the proposals!
All proposals which are just and only colorful got 1 star.
That’s not enough for “print is cool”. We are searching for a logo which shows physical, chemical, mechanical forces. Some of the proposals have an association to print (embossing, paper). We don’t know if that’s exactly what we are looking for. In case of using embossing the printing substrate (paper) has to be integrated too. Maybe that’s not a logo at first sight for our visitors. There are some logos which put in some printing substrates in a good looking way. There is a unicorn out of paper for example. We like the idea to create the unicorn out of a printing substrate with a soft 3D-effect. On the other hand we don’t see any association between “print is cool” and a unicorn.
Some possible ideas:
- It would be nice to see some logos which got an association to potato print or a stamp. (Just an idea not the final direction)

First round of feedback: All those with no association to print (except maybe cmyk-colors) got 1 star only. Some had SOME connection to print. They got 2 stars. Really enthusiatic so far for no proposal, but thx a lot for the first submissions to everyone.

  Hi! Did you check my description at entry #7 ? When you say association to print, what exact elements do you have in mind? Also, a logo is more like an abstract glimpse of the business' domain,wouldn't you agree?
