Contest Brief

Looking to refresh and modernize the logo for Origin, which is a firm that provides strategic planning and sustainable design consulting.

Two existing logos that we have used previously are attached to this. One that is a more plain text logo and another that tries to play up the notion of an acorn, with nested layers, to speak to the strategic planning side of things.

I am looking for a logo that takes the existing elements but creates a more modern, simple, declarative, and professional look. I am open to changing colours, and would steer away from green as that is the classic sustainability colour. I am fond of blues but am open to ideas.
