Contest Brief

I have attached the logo that we currently use for our Counselling business - Mountains to Molehills or M2m for short. I have previously posted this project however I realised that the wording and format of the job was not very helpful. So let me tell you more about us and our current logo using the below headings which should help your understanding of what we are looking for:

What we do
We are counsellors and psychotherapists who believe in the healing power of being truly heard and understood. We work mostly with adults. We are mental health peers and so have lived experience of mental health issues. The metaphor of Turning Mountains into Molehills, is REALLY important for this project. We believe that clients arrive with the problem or issue as a Mountain which they believe they must climb, however, through the work we do, we help them see things from fresh perspectives and allow them to see the problems as Molehills, which are smaller, more curved than jagged and more easily climbed or overcome. IF you do not know what a molehill is, it is a small mound of dirt that a mole has pushed up when coming to the surface from underground. Please look it up. In the current logo, the transition before and after of Mountains to Molehills, is very important to capture.

What we are looking for:
The current logo we really like, however it was drawn with little skill and not much expertise behind it. It works well for the top of our website, and the top of letters, but it is old fashioned for both of these purposes. We believe that it probably should be more compact and less wordy.

What we like about the current logo:
The transition between mountains to molehills.
Green is a soothing colour
The font used has the elegant and timeless feel that we want but it may be too thin?
We love the name Mountains to Molehills, but we also love M2m
We feel its important for a logo to say what we do, but the words are not right in this one.

What we don't like about the current logo:
It seems out of proportions. Too long.
The font seems a little off but we cannot work out why.
The text under the title should change to: Counselling and Psychoeducation
We love simple but is it too basic? We have considered snowy mountain peaks and a sun over the molehills, furthering the metaphor, but it may be too busy. Can you find what is missing?

Some words which we would like to use to describe our brand:
Present, Safe, Confidential, Reflective, Calming, Warm, Playful, Timeless, Trustworthy, Inclusive, Professional (but not at the expense of playful).

What's next?
We will be looking for someone who can do ongoing work for us by utilising the logo in various branded digital and print media. We build worksheets and help sheets and make videos and guided audio so there is potentially a large number of products we may be looking for in the future.

What else:
We have provided as many of the files and products we have created so far. We will be getting new business cards made when a design is chosen but I have included the details of the current one anyway. Our website is: www.mountainstomolehills.com.au this is one of the places where the logo is displayed.

We will need:
All the details of the logo including a version without a background and a vector file (.svg). We will need full details of any colours or fonts you have used and details on how to access the font from a free source if applicable.
