Contest Brief

ENGLISH:
We are a student community based in the university city Karlsruhe, Germany. Founded way back in 1860, we have a lot of tradition and history. What really sets us apart from other student communities is the fact, that we are not in any way politically motivated or active. Our main goal is to connect students and help them with their studies. Currently we are creating a new corporate identity for the community and thats why we need a new logo. With the new logo we want to attract the attention of young people (future students of our university). Its our vision, that the new logo contains our name "Corps Friso-Cheruskia", "Student Community" and the city we are based in "Karlsruhe". The logo should also contain our three colors (light blue, white, blue). Our community also has an emblem and a signature which can be used in the logo, but its not a must.

GERMAN:
Wir, das sind die Studenten des Corps Friso-Cheruskia zu Karlsruhe, sind eine Gemeinschaft von Studenten unterschiedlicher Jahr.- und Studiengänge. Die Wurzeln unsere Vereinigung reichen zurück bis 1860, als wir in Zürich gegründet wurden. Uns zeichnet im speziellen aus, dass wir eine Vereinigung sind, die in keiner Weise politisch engagiert oder motiviert ist. Im Zuge der Erstellung einer neuen Corporate Identity für unsere Vereinigung, wollen wir unser etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Design überarbeiten. Mit dem neuen Logo wollen wir hauptsächlich junge Menschen (zukünftige Studenten) ansprechen. Wir haben die Vorstellung, dass neben dem Namen "Corps Friso-Cheruskia" sich auch "Student Community" und unser Heimatort "Karlsruhe" im Logo wiederfinden soll. Ebenfalls sollten unsere Farben (hellblau-weiß-dunkelblau) im Logo vorhanden sein. Wir haben auch ein Wappen und einen Zirkel, welche ebenfalls im Logo verwendet werden können, das ist jedoch kein muss.

UPDATE:
We would like a logo, were besides the things mentioned above our house is also included. The key is to keep it simple. We imagine the house to look best in a black and white version (see upload).
