We need a logo/wordmark for an in-development iOS/Android app that is a new location-based technology platform that will link employers and professionals. This will be an app that targets business professionals of all types, from high level CIO's to entry level accountants, so the design needs to be clean, organic, professional, balanced, and engaging.
We are looking for creativity, and original ideas. We are an established company that is making a leap to a new application concept. Brand identity and immediate brand recognition is important to us.
The company name is EVRLINK. We are open to different interpretations of styling: Separating EVR from LINK, changing capitalization (ie, EVRlink), integrating spacing (EVR LINK), and everything in between.
Since we will be linking employees and employers together, in a location-based way, we'd like to see ideas for the logo that can concisely convey "linking" and "location" organically, yet tech-forward.
We have attached a file that gives examples of logos we like, as well as ones we don't. Additionally, our first concept of a "linking/location" logo is in there as well. Please submit your own unique ideas on this "linking/location" concept, unless you feel you can iterate on the supplied logo substantially, in a better manner.
As far as colors, we are open to different color schemes. Feel free to capture color spaces that represent forward-thinking web tech companies, traditional companies, or even color spaces that implement Pantone's color of the year of this year, (or past years!). Please restrict your use of gradients completely. The only exception is of an iterative nature that builds on an already-strong flat color space logo/wordmark.
It is crucial that the provided artwork is legible at ALL screen sizes and resolutions. If a complicated logo is presented that presents well at a larger resolution, we will need a version that looks good at smaller resolutions as well.
We also need a logo that presents well both in landscape and portrait. Although we are open to both ideas, we will need the logo/wordmark to be convertible to landscape if it is more of a portrait-oriented logo/wordmark. (IE., if it presents as a vertical logo, we will need a horizontal one as well)
