Contest Brief

I'm looking for an experienced landscape architect who can transform my small backyard into a modern oasis. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye, experience with small spaces, and knowledge of shade-tolerant plants.

Key Project Elements:
- Design a Traditional South Eastern American backyard incorporating the space efficiently.
- Include a patio or area for relaxation and entertaining.
-Include a fireplace/chimney and sitting area on the right side of the yard for gathering and relaxing in winter (stone or brick).
- Integrate garden beds that complement the Traditional South Eastern American backyard style and are suitable for shade-tolerant plants.
- Incorporate a drainage system to effectively capture rainwater from the neighbors' yards and drain it.
- Design a sitting wall along the back (stone or brick) for additional seating and act as a retaining wall for the small hill in the back.
- Add stone steps on the left side with an area to store two garbage bins for aesthetic and practical purposes.
- Include a plan for a small greenhouse that matches the Traditional American backyard aesthetic on the right side of the existing deck.

Skills and Experience:
- Proven landscape architecture and design experience, especially with small spaces.
- Strong knowledge of modern design principles.
- Experience in selecting and arranging shade-tolerant plants.
- The ability to create detailed blueprints and 3D models is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure the project aligns with my vision.
