Need a new logo designed for our group "Vegas 4runners"

Contest Brief

We are currently looking to update our logo. We want something that that can translate well to merchandise, so we are envisioning something that can go well on a sticker, velcro patch, or on the chest of a pocket t-shirt. If we could incorporate V, 4, and R into a simple, modern logo that would be cool, but I am open to discussing ideas.

Vegas 4Runners is a Toyota 4Runner enthusiast group, but we discuss anything offroad, camping, nature, wheeling, overlanding etc. I've included some examples of some logos we like, and some sketches I've made of the V, 4, and R. I think that would be what we are looking for, but need help with the finished design.
