New Logo for a small Italian village

Contest Brief

SUMMARY:
We want to create a new logo for a village in north Italy (2000 inhabitants) that organizes a festival every year.

PURPOSE:
The logo should represent the main symbol of the village, that is an amphitheater square, the beating heart of the village. The festival and all the events take place in this square with steps (photos attached).
The purpose of the logo is to immediately recall the amphitheater square and so the village. The logo must be memorable, it will be used for years, perhaps forever, and will be found on posters, flyers, team t-shirts and stickers.

STYLE:
The logo have to combine a modern style with the rusticity of a country town. It was thought of soft colors like yellow and orange. The logo must be readable also in black and white. We prefer a modern and flat design.
