Contest Brief

Lisa Michele and I am looking to have a logo designed with the words Pass the Hat. For the past several years, the gala has had a Kentucky Derby theme, which included the wearing of fancy hats. At this time, the gala intends to move away from that theme. Therefore, the “Pass the Hat” campaign should maybe echo the idea of fancy hats, but not certainly not emphasize the derby theme.

I'd like to keep it to two colors, no clip are please. Simplicity is best.
