Contest Brief

Photo attached is an existing metal entry gate. I would like to have a simple design using the existing gate and add 21 inches in height at the bottom in order to have the gate fill the existing building archway. Eliminate the scroll-work, add some mid-century modern element, but keeping some or all of the vertical rods. The bottom 21 inches; should have an element that would not allow small animals (ie: small dog) to enter or escape through the spaces. The design should be very open to allow light and visibility through the Gate. The size of the existing gate is: 44 inches wide, 69 inches high to the beginning of the arch and 79 inches to the middle of the top of the arch. Finished height would be 100 inches to the top of the arch.
