Redesign layout of pages of a live website - education topic

Contest Brief

Please submit early in first 3 days to give me time to feedback on your design - need PSD files in the end. 5 page types layout/design - please show me design using content/text from my website. Also Website is mobile responsive so think of mobile interface too .

My current website is live and is found at www.themsag.com It has information for prospective medical school applicants. I am looking for design of layout of the pages so that the info is easy to read and access by users. 5 pages types need layout.

1. Home page. -Current: http://www.themsag.com/
I have added a new large full width banner to the website. I would like to keep it. I like the top part of the home page . I am open to suggestion for design but it does not have to change as I like it as it is.

I do not like the layout of the Text Below the banner - need to think of the right font, style, layout. Also the Main navigation bar should have 9 elements in it which are: 1.Medical School Interviews, 2.The Personal Statement, 3. Getting into Medical School, 4. Medical Schools UK, 5.European Medical Schools, 6.North American Medical Schools, 7. Medical School Elsewhere 8. About the MSAG 9. Our Services.
Also the layout completely at the bottom of the page needs to change and fit the overall layout of the page.

At the top right of the page there are a few options for the user to click. There is no need to have "my account" and "log in". One of the two is sufficient so only include one in the design. Also on the homepage, I would like "Dr Jiva's Blog" and also "the newsletter" to be more prominent than they are now.

2. Main Category page. The main category pages are the pages the users gets to when they click on one of the items on the top navigation bar. Current examples.

Their design, layout are not consistent at present. I would like that to be fixed and I would like all main category page to have a consistent design.
They need a navigation bar on the left handside. There is one at present which is great functionally as it makes the website easier to navigate but the design of it is out of place compared to the rest of the website. it does not go with it. A lot of my home page banners use blackboard design - so principle, idea of blackboard, school classroom theme can be used here too if it fits or something simple, clean.

on http://themsag.com/uk-medical-schools - you can see how the inside content has been split into 4 main titles that one can click on to open more - I like this functionality so we could keep that in mind. Once the tabs are open, the layout of the text inside does not look slick and professional and needs to be improved.
Similarly layout of main text http://themsag.com/medical-school-interviews is not nice. These are all the same type of pages so we need one consistent layout for text.

3. School pages: http://themsag.com/uk-medical-schools/university-of-cambridge ; there will be 200 pages with this layout when website finished so most important. Left handside menu needed as above and for inside content a user should not be able to see content for graduate entry applicants and undergraduate applicants at same time. I like the way it s split now, but need to design the tabs better and design inside the pages for main text content as it just looks like a pdf at present.

Cart and checkout page may need twicks depending on what is suggested for rest of website layout/ design.

Final file i ll need is PSD file with layer layout and my developer will build it on magento! thanks and looking forward to seei

    If this is a problem for anyone, please tell me BEFORE i choose the winner, otherwise, I'll assume you're ok with that. Finally criteria for choosing the winner are the following: 1. overall feel of the website 2. creativity 3. ease of navigation 4. ease of read of the fonts/colour 5. First impression 6. table, text, highlight box, quotes and hyperlink design/font - you can see from that the content is as important if not more than the home page. Don't hesitate to ask if any clarification needed. I will try my best to give feedback quickly today for all designs received so you have time to prefer it before deadline. People who only submitted home page, or who did not submit all pages by the deadline will not be considered as they cannot be compared fairly. Good luck!

    For everyone: Thank you for your hard work. There is only over a day left for the contest so let me just clarify a few things. Final decision for winner will be made only AFTER contest is closed. I will send my top 3 to 15 friends and ask them to vote so I choose the top 3 but I don't make the final decision in a way. After Winner is chosen, I may need some edits, small changes to the layout, it is understood that this is a no extra cost and is included in the reward of the contest. Also from the winner, I will need couple of basic pages like the cart page and the checkout page to match overall layout you have prepared.

    You'll see my website contains many table that list all the medical schools and something about them. Since I have so many tables, the style of the tables matter. All of these styles will then be used across all pages (category, school, product, blogs). Most of my website is content so the inside page design matters the MOST! Also, for everyone, pleasure use text from my website and current pages that exist when you send me design rather than dummy text. thank you for your work, I look forward to seeing the revised updates, the inside pages and new entries

    I have given feedback to everyone that has submitted so far. Just few clarifications. To win the contest, you need to have submitted inside pages. Those who gave home page to star with, that' s fine for the beginning, but if you only submit home page and not the other pages, you cannot win the contest. For the inside page, please make sure I can clearly see a style of writing for Titles and possibly subtitles, for quotes ad my text will have many quotes, for key points as when I write something long, I would like users to be able to see "key points" at a glance, and for tables.

    http://www.gla.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/medicine/#/ : this is another example - a similar system as this and what I posted before would work well for the "school" page. And you 'd need to be creative to find something that goes well with it for the main category page as some of the main category pages are also long but not as long as school pages - thanks!

    For everyone, for content pages inside the idea is to display a lot of information without it looking like a word document. I like the example of this website: http://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/apply/ - but still use creativity !
