Contest Brief

I need our current logo updated with a more modern feel. Everything can be changed except for the name, which has to be Wheatland Technologies. Some logs that I like are DoubleClick and I also kind of like the font Comfortaa. I've attached the current logo. I would prefer not have the exist object the the left, i'm fine with something there but it's not required. I'm open to colors and fonts.
