Contest Brief

Hi there,

BQHL is a company of production, edition and distribution of independent movies in France.
Our catalog gather French and foreign movies, and our key words for our business is diversity, quality, heritage and newness.

From the classics, to pirates film, to the recent adaptation of the scandinavian detective novel, or the superbe mélodramas from hollywood, horror movies and haunted houses, and so on…
Open minded and curious to open to the most contradictory movie registers, we are providing either content for experienced film-lovers, but also content for amateurs of distractive shows.

BQHL opens to all sensibilities and to all desires in Cinema (movies, TV shows, documentaries, and any kind of content : historical, environnemental, discoveries, martial art, free fight, yoga, cardio training)

We need to change our logo and get a second wind, a new energy in order to represent something more modern and establish our online shopping site bqhl.com.

We need a logo that is elegant, sober, thin, while being recognizable and visible.
And we need you to use these 4 letters : BQHL.

This logo should be practical to put on DVD / Bluray covers as well as being our logo for a e-commerce site.
You can check how our logo is currently set up on DVD covers by checking attached images (the logo needs to be in the front, in the back and on the edge of the DVD cover, as shown in attached image, check for blue circles).

The website using this new designed logo, will sell DVD, BLU RAY, but also some audio disks, vinyls and other products (merchandising, cultural things, ...).

The graphics of the soon-to-be website will be built on the same characteristics of the logo.

For the website, we do have a preference for a dark/black/grey theme, that make people think of cinema atmosphere (cinema room, watching a movie in the dark, etc…), so the logo should match with that ambiance.
