Contest Brief

We need you to make a broad research on UV regulations subject, which includes the following :
- Finding all countries that has the Ultraviolet disinfection ( sterilization ) mandatory , whether it was mandatory in medical sector ( hospitals , clinics , labs ...etc ) , or food industries ( restaurants , catering ...etc ) , or even other sectors like hotels , Spas ... etc
- Organizing the results based on countries sequence ; starting with American continents , then Europe , Asia , then Africa
- List it in an Excel sheet that has several columns : country , industry , date of regulation , a link to the regulatory website as proof , and in the last column will be a small brief or sentence from the code which mentions the UV itself

You can submit your excel file as a google drive link in the comment section of your sealed entry ( this contest is already sealed )

Please dont submit junk entries , only submit your work for evaluation , or ask any question you have in the public clarification board section

The research that has the largest amount of regulations found with its proof is the winner

Update 1 :Please make sure that the submitted data have only regulations in it , no articles , no companies , no private societies opinions .... only regulations with a link directly to the regulating body website-( i.e : the governmental authority that issued this regulation )

Update 2: we dont need any results related to the safety protocols and precautions while using UV. What we need is the regulations that makes UV mandatory to use in some places or some industries ( food , health sector ... etc )

Update 3 : We re-confirm that you dont submit link for an article , we need links to the regulating bodies , I mean to the website of the authority that issued this regulation that made the UV mandatory to use ...

Update 4 : I have attached an example from Dubai health authority guidelines , that mentions clearly that UV should be provided in hospitals
notes :
1- UVGI = UVC = UV disinfection ... all this terms points to the same wavelength of UV that is used in germicidal disinfection for air and surfaces.
2- HAI , SSI , ...etc , these terms points to secondary infections acquired in hospitals due to lake of proper pathogens elimination between patients visits or between surgeries , and you can use these terms in your search which will eventually lead you to UV use to eliminate it.

For any questions , please ask in the comments section , and i will try to reply asap.

The example you have attached "should be provided" is not recent. It is from 2019 and not about COVID. Further, the Dubaiis have not mandated UV-disinfecting - they are employing 8 robots to sweep their hospitals.

1- We didnt mentioned in the contest that we need recent regulations only ?!!!
2- We didnt mention in the contest that we need results related to Covid-19 ( in fact we didnt mention covid-19 at all )
3- The term that is mentioned in Dubai guidelines about UV disinfection was "Should be provided" which means ...... that it should be provided !!!! should be = must be = !!!!

I advice you all to make a deeper and more thorough search , as the USA itself as an example ... definitely have more than one regulation over it's 51 states.
The same goes for other european countries and other parts of the world.

I think that you should search in the language of each country to find results in it , as this is an internal regulations , so it might not be published in English in all countries
but this is just a guess ... you know better how to do it
