Contest Brief

Candidates who pass this test will be shortlisted for further discussion.

CakePHP Technical Test Instructions:
1. Download and unzip the following zip-file that contains a CakePHP test-project:

2. Start recording a video of the screen while doing the practical test.

3. Setup your server such as XAMP or WAMP as follows:

Setup the web server environment.
Make sure the rewrite feature enabled for Nginx/Apache.
Point the document path to app/webroot folder.
Change the permission of the app/tmp folder to 777.
Import the DB from the db.sql file.

4. Complete the questions which can be seen after you have deployed the project folder on your server:

Deploy the folder under your web server of choice to see the questions.
Dump your database work to the file named “your-name.db.work.sql”, and place it in the sql folder.
DO NOT click the Init DB button when you start the test, during the test, and after the test.
Use CakePHP and jQuery to solve the questions, other frameworks are not acceptable!

5. After completing the test, zip the file with your name as the filename and send it to me, together with a link to the video of the screen-recording.

6. Refer to attached file for instructions on submitting test.
