Contest: Build the Best Version of Stegstr (stegstr.com) We are running a development contest to produce the best working version of Stegstr, the FOSS steganography application (reference site: stegstr.com). We will open and test submissions ourselves, and award the prize to the single best-performing version. Stegstr is a nostr app. What we want built: - AI Agent Operability - Networking operations and functionality — a solid, reliable networking layer for sending, receiving, and syncing steganographically-encoded content between users. - Steganographic invisibility — the hidden data must be undetectable through normal viewing or casual inspection of the carrier file (image, audio, or other media). - Robustness to real-world processing — the hidden data must survive being sent through common platforms that recompress, resize, or strip metadata from media, including WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, and similar apps. This is a core requirement, not a stretch goal. - Open scope for extra value — beyond the requirements above, freelancers are encouraged to add any additional feature, optimization, or capability that strengthens the app. Creative, high-quality additions will count in your favor. How the contest works: 1. Submit a working, testable build of the app. 2. We will open and run submission ourselves against real-world conditions (including sending test files through WhatsApp, Telegram, and Instagram). 3. We will judge submissions primarily on steganographic invisibility, survival through platform processing, and overall reliability of networking functionality. 4. The single best-performing submission wins the contest. Submissions should include clear setup/run instructions so we can test them without back-and-forth.

I can deliver a robust, testable version of Stegstr focused on the three areas that matter most: resilient steganography, reliable Nostr networking, and real-world recovery after platform processing. The solution will be engineered to withstand recompression, resizing, re-encoding, and metadata stripping across platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Instagram, supported by error correction, integrity checks, multi-relay reliability, and reproducible testing. You’ll receive a clean working build, source code, setup instructions, testing workflow, and documented results so evaluation is simple and transparent.
