Mild cognitive impairment is a condition in which a person experiences a slight – but noticeable – decline in mental abilities (memory and thinking skills) compared with others of the same age.
The minor decline in abilities is noticeable by the person experiencing them or by others who interact with the person.
With mild cognitive impairment, the person frequently forgets conversations and information that one would ordinarily remember such as appointments and other planned events.
Changes can interfere with normal daily life, activities and complex decision-making. May struggle, but can complete complex tasks such as paying bills, taking medications, shopping, cooking, household cleaning.

This technology could help an individual with a learning disability, or mild cognitive impairment, for example, build up the confidence necessary to make a routine journey unaccompanied, perhaps a trip to a grocery store or pharmacy.
Showing how to make a journey by bus, train or ferry.
Making the journey accompanied by a virtual trainer, who will find the most easily manageable options for the journey and explain each step as the journey progresses, including strategies for coping if the unexpected happens – for example the bus does not arrive or the route is changed.
This can be a way to help someone with a mild cognitive impairment or mental health problem to break their dependence on door-to-door transport or to attempt to travel.
Family members can keep an eye on older parents and loved ones, with their permission, in order to receive general information about their activities and to be alerted if the loved one has called out for help.
Sustainable open source with the lowest cost. The project is inspired by aspects of Linux that are social, not technical. From the beginning, with the aim of being casually modified by volunteers coordinating only through the Internet. Freely redistributable, anyone can create a distribution. Empathy is the connecting factor between developers. The source code to be used, modified and distributed under the terms of GNU General Public License.
