Contest Title: Logo Design for Premium D2C Home Decor & Lighting Brand — "Zerra Homes" Description: We're Zerra Homes, a premium D2C home decor and lighting brand rooted in Japandi aesthetics — where minimalism meets warmth. We're looking for a refined, timeless wordmark-led logo that captures quiet luxury and thoughtful craftsmanship. IMPORTANT — Original, Human-Made Designs Only: We are looking for genuine creative work from skilled designers, not AI-generated logos. In our past contests, a large majority of entries appeared to be AI-generated, and we had to reject most of them. Please do not submit AI-generated concepts (e.g., from Midjourney, DALL·E, Canva AI, or similar tools) — these will be disqualified. We value hand-crafted, thoughtfully designed entries that reflect your own creative process and design skill. Entries that show signs of AI generation (inconsistent letterforms, generic/templated shapes, watermarked or artifact-heavy renders) will not be considered for the prize. Aesthetic direction: - Japandi-inspired: minimal, warm, organic, uncluttered - Reference brands for tone (not to copy): Ferm Living, Muji, The Citizenry, Aesop, Frama, Tekla Fabrics, Cuyana - Wordmark-led design — no literal icons (no houses, no lamps) - If a mark/symbol is used, it should be abstract or geometric only - No gradients, no multi-color treatments — the design should work in a single locked palette Brand color palette (must use): - Cream — #F5EFE6 - Warm Brown — #3D1F0D - Taupe — #8B6F52 Typography direction: - Primary wordmark font style: elegant serif (Fraunces as reference) - Subtitle/tagline font style: clean light sans-serif (Jost / Montserrat Light / Raleway Light as reference) What we'd love to see: - A refined, thin-weight wordmark treatment (a modified letterform or subtle custom detail is welcome — e.g., a distinctive "E" or similar) - Something that feels expensive, calm, and enduring — not trendy or loud - Original, hand-designed work that reflects your own creative interpretation - Versatility across packaging, website header, and social Deliverables (for the winning entry): - Primary logo (horizontal wordmark) - Icon-only / monogram variant (if applicable) - Print-ready vector files (AI/EPS/SVG) - PNG files with transparent background (for web use) - Black & white / single-color version for print What we're NOT looking for: - AI-generated logos or concepts - Generic clipart-style icons (lamps, houses, furniture silhouettes) - Overly modern/tech-looking logos - Bright or multiple colors outside the given palette - Script or overly decorative fonts This is a guaranteed contest — the prize will be awarded to the best entry meeting our brand direction.
