Most animators will take your character sheets and scripts and start drawing frame by frame. They will deliver a video that looks fine but took twice as long and cost twice as much. But that approach misses what you actually need. The real challenge is not making one episode look good. The real challenge is building a workflow that lets you produce episode after episode without starting from zero each time. If I treat every scene as a one-off, I am failing you before I even begin.... When this works, you have a system. Characters that move consistently because their rigs are built for reuse. Backgrounds that can be repurposed with minor tweaks. Animation cycles that can be dropped in without reanimating the same walk cycles or gestures. The first episode takes a bit more setup. But every episode after that becomes faster and more predictable. You are not paying me to make one video. You are paying me to make the next ten videos easier. Before I quote you a fixed price per episode, could you tell me roughly how many character rigs will be needed for the first episode and whether the dialogue is already recorded or will need to be synced to scratch audio?
