Even though the character is best known for his straw hat, my concept turns that iconic look into a sleek, battle-ready helmet that still screams “Straw Hat Pirate.” What I’m after • A finished, wearable helmet built primarily in fiberglass for strength and a clean surface. • Faithful proportions, colours, and emblem details that match Luffy’s original aesthetic—think warm straw-tone hues, the red band, and subtle weathering that looks like it’s survived a few thousand nautical miles. • Interior padding and ventilation so I can keep it on for hours without discomfort. • A smooth paint finish that photographs well under convention lights. Workflow I’ll share reference art, head measurements, and any additional sketches right away. I’d like to approve a 3D mock-up or clay maquette before you commit to the final fiberglass lay-up, then see brief progress updates at key milestones (raw pull, primed surface, final paint). Deadline The convention is eight weeks out, so I need the completed piece in hand no later than two weeks before that date to allow for travel and last-minute tweaks. Deliverables 1. One fully finished, ready-to-wear fiberglass “Luffy helmet” with interior padding. 2. High-resolution build photos for my social channels. 3. Care instructions and a small paint touch-up kit.
