Objective The objective is developing a plug-in for Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to connect documents made with those software packages to the online back office system, which we are currently developing. Background information We are currently developing a back office system which will be used by companies around the globe. The system is developed with ASP.NET 2.0 and used AJAX, C# and SQL server. WE want to be able to manage better our documents. We want to archive for example our contracts and proposals. WE want to connect those documents to records in the database. We have already developed an upload feature and a features to connect the uploaded Word and Excel files to a record. What I want is a more sophisticated solution. I want a plug-in within word or excel which is able to connect a document directly to a record in the online database.
