HYPOTHESIS/TOPIC - The oppression of literature through technology is evident in Bradbury's dystopian society.

Attached file will contain info(specifics) - Essay answering my hypothesis (topic or proving it)- Book is fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and its a high school paper, final year so has to be really good, going for excellence level on grading scale. Has to use critical texts, theories or opinions at least 3-4 which help prove my hypothesis which u can modify slightly. Example of critical text is joseph campbell's mono myth on the heres journey, Essay has to be primarily about the novel but critical text heavily used and i need updates on what you've written every now and then, 3-4 hours to see if its on right track.

THE FOLLOWING IS AN INTRO I STARTED, MODIFY IT AND MAKE IT BETTER OR CHANGE IT> Analysis of Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451, reveals that literature in the form of books, education and alike is oppressed and criminalised in the protagonist, Guy Montag's world. The novel is set in a time period when technological advancements have seemingly replaced literature completely, firemen set fires rather than put them out, the possession of books is punishable by the law and to oppose the norm is to court death. The oppression of literature through technology can be analysed and identified through different theories and opinions on the conflict. These theories can be linked to Fahrenheit 451, a novel that effectively foreshadows a very present conflict in our modern society, as well as identify the presence of the conflict in the time period, the book was published, 1951. Four different critical theories relate to the conflict in Bradbury's dystopian society. The first is 'Knowledge versus Ignorance', another is 'Technology versus Reading' by MIT technology Review - "A view from Mara E. Vats.", next is the 'Types of Conflict in Literature' by Katherine Docimo and the last is 'Technology replacing books in education.' These four theories accurately intervene with one another yet differ to emphasise the conflict between Technology and Literature.

******

The critical theories in the intro are random and do apply but want better ones. For my hypothesis, the literature refers to books, knowledge and education.
