I'm looking for advices from an accountant to set up my accounting.
I have just started my home business in hong kong one month ago and i want to make the accounting for the company. I have tried Quickbooks but it does not fully support multi currencies (problems with decimals in USD). I need a multi currency accounting software as I am trading in HKD, USD and EUR and maybe more currencies in the future. I would prefer an open source software or a one-off purchase, i.e: a software I can use without paying a monthly or annual subscription's fee.
You need to teach me:
-how to write the initial cash deposits to each HKD,USD,EUR accounts (opening balance?)
-how to handle paypal and moneybookers - I normally wire transfer funds to those accounts to pay for services. Should i consider them as bank accounts?
-how to handle transaction when i pay in usd from a hkd account (for instance the balance in paypal is in hkd but i pay in usd)
-how to prepare the documents for the tax accountant at the end of the year.
We can exchange through emails or by messenger (msn, gmail talk, skype).
