We have a program that is used to edit a data base record. This program is in need of some updating (needs more fields added to the table and does not work in win7). This program was written in Borland 6 and it is now very difficult to work with as many of the libraries are obsolete
We need to rewrite (or convert) this program so it can be compiled in a newer compiler, preferably Visual studio.
The original source code is available and should be easy to run on a different compiler. The GUI will need to be redone. The appearance will be the same except there will be some extra fields added. I have attached some screen shots of the program and the borland source code.
The result from this project will be a new program that can be compiled using the free version of Visual Studio and the fox GUI tool kit, the source code and a document that outlines how the software works. The porgram will have the same functionality as the current version and will be capable of running in both Windows 7 or Windows XP
After the initial conversion is completed there will be ongoing work to update this program and related parts of the system.
Dear FranciscoShi
I am ready to make this source code "conversion" but could you please give me some details about it?
1) First of all could you please let me know the needed version of Visual Studio.
2) Also please clarify what languages should your program support (any Chinese charset or some special one)?
2.1) Do you plan to use only "English language menu" or it should be localized too?
Thank you
