bot-client-server udp

ok this is a simple POC code, that will be used as a means for support and for a presentations.

note: this os not meant for anything malicious. this is pretty much a trojan, but it will have no spreading capabilities, so it is harmless. it is simply for a presentation i am doing, after the presentation the code will be gone from existance :)

however the code will be sent to antivirus companies such as f-secure

heres what im looking for, please remember this part is supposed to be as hidden as possible

BOT:

1. Polymorphic code and strings

code related to bot functionality is encoded

everytime with different key, same goes for

strings (this will help us understand how we may be able to detect strings that are being hidden while a proccess is running)

2. Installation into hidden location

installs into location where it is impossible

to access with windows explorer (will aid in heuristics)

3. Direct code injection into [url removed, login to view]

injects whole bot into remote process without

leaving any .dll behind (this is the tricky part, but it was done with the mariposa botnet)

Startup

of course the bot needs to have startup capabilities this will aid in heuristic analasys of future worms.

Executable file guard

when bot is running (injected), bot file can

not be deleted

Process monitor

small code injected into another [url removed, login to view]

process which monitors [url removed, login to view]; if explorer

crashes, the bot is restarted and can reinject

code into [url removed, login to view]

Client/Server/Protocol

Own protocol

udp (no connections logged), acks and sequences

so packets are reliable transmitted, encoded traffic,

bitstreams, unlimited number of clients supported
