Background Subtraction in X-ray Image

I want to implement/explore a couple of background subtraction or suppression algorithms for X-ray images. The algorithm can either try to estimate background automatically from the image or use some predefined template (I am quite open to other ideas too). Final code should be written in C++. (Prototyping can be done in Matlab if desired) ## Deliverables You must have some experience implementing background subtraction algorithms in addition to image and computer vision experience.
