saving settings on a pic and modifiing some buttons

For first let me know which PIC are you using. Also I will like to know which kind of settings do you need to save and why. Some pic controllers has an internal eeprom memory and will not be necessary to be used an external memory. If it hasn't internally eeprom is possible to emulate the eeprom using the flash memory (not all PICs has this possibility ). try to explain me what is doing your project. your project is done in assembly or C (which compiler are you using)? regards
